So, I had a whole bunch of things that I was going to write about today — including a very last minute, and very awesome random trip JP and I made to Indy on Friday night to see Neil Gaiman (which I promise is going to be posted tomorrow! would post now, but the pictures are on the crappy lappy at home.) But yesterday literally EVERYONE’s facebook status said essencially the same thing about wanting this week to be over before it had even started.
Mine on the other hand was about how my brains were leaking out of my nose. Damn allergies.
Wait.. what was I saying…? OH! Anyway, given the overall doom and gloom on Facebook yesterday it made me wonder why Mondays are actually so horrible? There’s that baaad 80’s song, and the saying “case of the mondays”. Don’t get me wrong, I’d like the weekend to last a tad longer just like everyone else, but why begrudge something that will happen anyway? School and work will always begin again on Monday. No?
Before I go on, I will say, I can understand why JP wasn’t looking forward to yesterday (though, his status had nothing about hating yesterday!) — he had tests out thw waaaazooo! So yes, his Monday pretty much sucked, and he was exhausted when he got home last night. (But who wouldn’t be?)
I suppose I just wanted to say, that I don’t find Mondays to be that big of a deal. Granted, once I go back for my Master’s degree and have papers due I might change that thought. But for now, I’m ok with Monday.
